Mike Walker

Mike is a campaign consultant with over 15 years’ experience working with civil society groups. He is good at, and enjoys, developing and implementing winning strategies. The evidence of this is that: he was a member of the small team which designed and implemented a targeted strategy in support of the historic reform of the EU’s Common Fisheries Policy; contributed to the #NatureAlert campaign to protect the EU’s Birds & Habitat Directives; and more recently was director of the lead Southern Ocean campaign successfully advocated for the designation of the Ross Sea marine protected area (now the biggest in the world). He has keen sense of how a campaign strategy should be developed, and executed, including team management and coalition recruitment and building.
