Mance Harmon

Mance Harmon serves as the Chairman of the Board and co-CEO at Hashgraph since May 2022, and as CEO and co-founder of Swirlds Inc since October 2015, where the focus is on creating a platform for building fully distributed applications that eliminate the need for central servers. Harmon was the CEO and co-founder of Hedera Hashgraph from August 2017 to May 2022, providing a secure, fair, and fast decentralized application platform. Previous roles include Head of Labs and Head of Architecture at Ping Identity, Chief Technology Officer at Ortsbo, and Founder and CEO of BlueWave Security, which was acquired by JST Partners. Mance Harmon has an extensive background in security product strategy and development, having worked with Symbol Technologies and Trio Security, Inc., both of which Mance founded. Additionally, experience encompasses program management at the Missile Defense Agency and instruction at the United States Air Force Academy. Education includes an MS in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a BS in Computer Science from Mississippi State University.
