Walter B. Igawa-Silva

Walter B. Igawa-Silva, MD, is a seasoned hospitalist currently serving at Hawaii Pacific Health since September 2021. Previously, Walter held the position of Staff Physician at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs from November 2017 to July 2021 and worked as a hospitalist at Hawaii Pacific Health from September 2016 to November 2017. Walter completed residency training at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA between June 2013 and July 2016. Early in Walter's career, experience included roles as Operations Manager at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, legislative aide for the State of Hawaii, and research associate at Papa Ola Lōkahi. Walter's educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine degree from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Psychology from Dartmouth College.
