Ginger Plumbo

Ginger (Buxa) Plumbo is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience across various healthcare and non-profit organizations. Currently serving as Director of External Communications at the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, Ginger's expertise includes media relations, issues management, and strategic communication. Previously, as Marketing Communications Manager at Mayo Clinic Laboratories, responsibilities included managing media relations and communications efforts. Ginger held multiple roles at Mayo Clinic, including Communications Manager, where significant projects such as the face transplant announcement were managed. Other key positions included Senior Communications Manager at Thrivent, Communications Consultant at the University of Minnesota Children's Hospital, and various roles in public relations and communications across several organizations. Ginger holds a Master's degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from North Dakota State University and a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations/Image Management from the University of North Dakota.
