Shambulia-Kuishi Gadsden Sams is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in policy development and advocacy, currently serving as the Chief Program Officer for Political Strategy at HBCU Collective since March 2017. Previously, Shambulia-Kuishi held roles such as Global Advocacy & Policy Lead Officer and WCAPS HBCU Connection Lead at Women of Color Advancing Peace, Security and Conflict Transformation, and Policy Resident at Pink Cornrows. Additional leadership experience includes serving as the Interim Executive Director for the National Organization of Black Elected Legislative Women (NOBEL-Women) and Public Policy Specialist for Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Educational qualifications encompass a Master’s degree in Sustainable Development from the School for International Training, along with a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Shaw University and an Associate degree in Ethnic Studies from Sacramento City College.
