Jon Wellinghoff

Jon Wellinghoff is currently a Board Member at HData. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Regulatory Officer at Voltus, Inc., where they were responsible for the development of company regulatory strategy at federal, state, and local levels and working with industry and stakeholder partners to grow the use of distributed energy resources. Before their time at Voltus, Jon was the Chief Executive Officer at GridPolicy, Inc., where they worked to remove regulatory, policy, and institutional barriers to the widespread adoption of cost effective DER technologies and systems, assisting companies, governments, and consumers who market and/or operate such resources. Jon also served as the Chief Policy Officer at SolarCity, where they were responsible for recommending policy initiatives and interventions in state, federal, and other forums to support distributed energy resource products and services offered by SolarCity. Prior to their work in the energy sector, Jon was a Partner at Stoel Rives LLP and Beckley Singleton, Chtd. Jon also served as Regional Manager at NORESCO Energy Service Company and General Counsel at the Nevada Public Utilities Commission.

Jon Wellinghoff attended Antioch School of Law from 1972 to 1975 and earned a Master of Science in Mathematics from Howard University in 1972.
