Carla Foster

Carla Foster is a senior executive dedicated to creating educational and financial opportunities, especially for members of underserved communities. Most recently, Carla served as COO at BizWorld, a nonprofit organization that provides project-based learning and financial education to students grades 4-12. At BizWorld, she oversaw the program's national and international expansion, opened new operations in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Denmark, Jordan, Mexico, Nigeria, and the UAE, and worked with educators all over the world.

Prior to joining BizWorld, Carla served as the East Bay Region Board Chair for Women's Initiative, a nonprofit organization focused on empowering women entrepreneurs. While at Women's Initiative, Carla helped oversee fundraising, volunteer, and expansion efforts. She had the privilege of watching hundreds of women turn bright ideas into fully-fledged and functioning businesses.

In the for-profit sector, Carla served as Head of Diversity and Inclusion at Charles Schwab. During her tenure, she founded and led the African American Investor Services and co-founded the Women's Investing Network. She also created Schwab's first Executive Succession Planning and Talent Management systems.
