Renee Fehr

Renee Fehr is the General Counsel at Heartland Bank and Trust Company since April 2021, providing strategic legal guidance to executive and senior management. Prior to this role, Renee served at State Farm® from May 2004 to April 2021 in various capacities, including Director of Enterprise Compliance and Ethics, where engagement in State Farm Bank Compliance occurred, and Director of the Office of Privacy, focusing on the development of an enterprise-wide privacy program while obtaining CIPP/US and CIPM certifications. Additionally, Renee was the Director of State Farm Bank, overseeing daily operations for deposit and financial card services. Earlier experience includes serving as General Counsel at Afni from August 2003 to April 2004 and as an Attorney at State Farm Law Department from January 1999 to August 2003, managing litigation and class actions. Renee holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Stetson University and a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Business Administration and Management from Illinois Wesleyan University.
