Matt Abrams is an experienced social work professional currently serving as the Director of the Park Slope Center for Successful Aging at Heights and Hills since July 2018. Prior to this role, Matt completed a Master of Social Work at New York University while interning at NYU Silver School of Social Work and working as a Social Work Intern for State Senator Liz Krueger, where advocacy on social services legislation was emphasized. Matt's background includes coordinating elder abuse investigations at JASA, providing personal advocacy for low-income seniors with Elders in Action, and supporting clients as a Case Worker Aide at the Senior Citizens Council. Additionally, Matt has a regulatory compliance background from Moda Health and experience in call center management from Vesta Corporation. Matt holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Oregon.
