Asa Lanum

Asa Lanum is the current Chairman at Heligenics. Asa has also previously served as the Chairman & CEO at Innovaro from August 2010 to December 2016, and as the Vice President & General Manager at Sun Microsystems from January 1987 to December 1988.

Lanum has extensive experience in helping companies grow and innovate. At Innovaro, they oversaw the development of a software called LaunchPad, which automates the back end processes of an innovation methodology that the company had developed over 15 years. Asa also negotiated and managed a relationship with a semiconductor technology company for the design, development, and supply of a new SPARC server chip set.

At Sun Microsystems, Lanum established a new "high end" dedicated server product line division. Asa also created a business unit that included marketing, engineering, manufacturing, and support. In addition, they developed new technologies for Sun systems and established a group to consolidate and develop Sun's server and system business.

Asa Lanum has a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Political Science from SUNY New Paltz.
