Jane joined Helping Hands Board in November 2022, having worked in the care and ageing sectors for 25 years. Following an early career in people development and governance, Jane became involved in care services delivery and has led national services in retirement housing, care homes and clinical settings. She won the Health Investor Top 50 “Grand Prix” in successive years for her work on quality and growing services, and the Laing & Buisson “Lifetime Achievement Award” in 2021 for impact in the care sector. Jane was appointed a CBE in the Queen’s New Year Honours 2015 for services to older people. Jane is also a Board member of Business in the Community, the largest and longest-established membership organisation dedicated to responsible business.
Having seen the critical relationship between carers and their customers and families, Jane is passionate about ensuring that compassionate and committed carers are supported and developed to enable customers to live the life they want to lead, and to support more people across the country with the high quality care which Helping Hands provides.
