Matei David

Matei David is a Software Engineer with extensive experience in distributed systems and open source projects. Currently employed at Helsing since September 2024, Matei previously contributed as a Software Engineer and project maintainer for Linkerd at Buoyant, Inc. from April 2021 to September 2024, focusing on backend development in Go and Rust, and actively engaging with the open source community as a speaker at multiple KubeCon + CloudNativeCon events. Prior roles include Associate Software Developer at Expedia Group, where Matei enhanced the developer experience, and participation as a CommunityBridge Mentee at the Cloud Native Computing Foundation. Educationally, Matei holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science with Business Management from the University of Birmingham.
