Paula Cuello

Paula Cuello is an experienced educational leader currently serving as the Head of Middle School at The Hewitt School since July 2022. Prior to this role, Paula held significant positions at The Dalton School, where responsibilities included K-12 Science Department Chair and Science Teacher from August 2013 to July 2022, and at Maret School as a Science Teacher from 2009 to June 2013. Additional experience includes serving as an Adjunct Professor at George Washington University, managing the course "The World on a Plate: How Food Shapes Civilization," and working as an Educational Consultant implementing trans-disciplinary curricula in collaboration with Jose Andres. Earlier roles included a Science Associate Teacher at Beauvoir, the National Cathedral Elementary School, and a Molecular Biologist Science Researcher at the National Institutes of Health. Paula holds a Master of Education in Private School Leadership from Columbia University and a Doctor of Philosophy and Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry from the University of Oxford.
