Melonee Douglas

Melonee Douglas currently serves as the Director of Integrity & Accountability at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), a position held since January 2024. Previously, Melonee held various roles at HIAS from January 2015 to January 2024, including Deputy Chief and Vice President of Humanitarian Partnerships, as well as Regional Director for Africa & Eurasia. Melonee co-founded Children In Need International and served on its Board of Directors from July 2007 to February 2014. Additionally, experience includes working as a Refugee Specialist at the U.S. Department of State from October 2009 to April 2012 and positions in local chambers of commerce. Melonee has a Master of Arts in International Conflict & Security from the University of Kent and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Affairs from the University of Virginia.
