Kiprono Kemboi

Kiprono Kemboi is an experienced protection officer with a focus on refugee rights and humanitarian aid. Currently serving at HIAS since April 2019, Kiprono has coordinated training programs to enhance the capacity of staff and partners in preventing and responding to torture, while promoting the rights of vulnerable refugees through case management and community engagement. Previous experience includes a disaster management internship at the Red Cross EU Office, conducting research and drafting policy papers, and working as a researcher for SOFRECO on democracy and human rights. Kiprono also coordinated the CAUX Scholars Program and participated in peacebuilding initiatives with the CAUX-Initiatives of Change Foundation. Educational qualifications include an International Master's degree in Peace, Conflict and Development Studies from Universitat Jaume I and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from United States International University - Africa.
