Dr. Timothy Dunn is an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at Duke University (Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Duke University starting July 1, 2021) and core faculty in the Duke +Data Science Initiative and Duke’s new Center for Computational Thinking. He received his bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley and his PhD from Harvard University. His expertise is in machine learning for traumatic brain injury prognosis and clinical image analysis. He has also pioneered new geometric deep learning methods for analyzing the three-dimensional kinematics of moving bodies, with applications to motor disorders and neurodegenerative disease. Dr. Dunn advises Higgs Boson Health’s data science and machine learning teams.
