Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical and firmware engineer with a strong background in developing collaborative solutions for educational technology. At SMART Technologies since July 2010, Chris has been integral in creating hardware and firmware for DViT interactive whiteboards and various educational devices. Previous experience includes working as an electronics contractor for the Science Alberta Foundation, where Chris designed and repaired educational devices, and serving as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary. Early career experience involved electronics engineering at Grindcom, focusing on control systems for forestry equipment. Chris holds an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a B.Tech. in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
