Caroline Hughes is an experienced legal professional with extensive expertise in technology, data protection, fundraising, M&A, and intellectual property. Currently serving as Head of Legal (Tech, Data & Media) at Garfield Smith since January 2024, Caroline has previously co-founded Lifetise, a successful consumer fintech platform, and has held various leadership roles, including CEO at WINNOW CONSULTING LIMITED, and Chief Legal Officer at STARWORKS GROUP LLC. Caroline also contributes as an angel investor with Womankind Ventures and co-founder/advisor at Hive Founders, supporting women entrepreneurs. With a background including significant positions at notable law firms and organizations, Caroline has a strong track record in advising startups, managing intellectual property matters, and leading commercial negotiations across multiple industries.
