James R. Dalkin serves as chairman of the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board’s (IAASB) Consultative Advisory Group (CAG) and previously served as a board member of the United States Auditing Standards Board (ASB). As Chairman Mr. Dalkin serves as an ex officio member of the IAASB, which establishes global auditing standards. He has also served on the COSO Advisory Board which developed the US internal control framework including information technology controls. In 2020, Mr. Dalkin was reappointed to a second term as CAG chairman.
For over twenty years Mr. Dalkin has been faculty at Georgetown University in the McDonough School of Business and the School of Continuing Studies. During his tenure, he has developed numerous programs including forensics accounting and real estate program. He has received numerous teaching awards.
Mr. Dalkin is a frequent speaker at national auditing conferences for a variety of professional organizations and is a nationally recognized expert in Yellow Book. He has also authored articles for publications including the Journal of Accountancy.
