Jaewon Shin

Jaewon Shin is a Senior Masterplanner at HKS, Inc. since March 2024, with a robust background in urban design. Previous experience includes roles as an Urban Designer at BIG - Bjarke Ingels Group from May 2021 to June 2023, and at Gillespies from September 2018 to May 2021. Jaewon also served as an Urban Designer at Farrells from October 2016 to August 2018, following a position as an Urban Design Assistant. Prior military experience includes serving as an Army Interpreter for the Republic of Korea Defense Intelligence Command from December 2013 to October 2015. Earlier in the career, Jaewon worked as an Assistant Landscape Architect at Hyland Edgar Driver. Educational qualifications include a Master of Architecture (MArch) in Urban Design from The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Landscape Architecture with Town Planning from The University of Sheffield. Additional academic achievements include a Victorian Certificate of Education from Wesley College Melbourne and an education at Kuranui College in New Zealand.
