Edward Dougherty

Edward Dougherty is Senior Vice President and Chief Business Development Officer at Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN). He joined LVHN in 2001 and has served in vice president and senior vice president positions, leading multiple mergers, practice acquisitions, and real estate initiatives.

Mr. Dougherty earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism at the University of Missouri, and a master’s degree in business administration at the University of Iowa. At LVHN, his business development responsibilities also include inter-hospital relationships, developing new affiliations, strategic planning, and consumer insights. His marketing and public affairs responsibilities include branding, advertising, community relations, and corporate communications. He is also the Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors of the Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation and is a member of the boards of directors at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Pocono, Eastern Pennsylvania Endoscopy Center and Secure Healthcare Information Management.
