Gitte Motzfeldt

Gitte Motzfeldt serves as a Førstelektor at Høgskolen i Østfold (HiØ) since January 2018 and has extensive teaching experience in geography, social studies, sociology, and social anthropology at Østfold fylkeskommune, where roles included Lektor/faglærer and Faglærer from August 2016 to November 2023. Previous teaching experience includes a position at Halden vgs from October 2013 to July 2016. Gitte's professional background also encompasses climate change advisory work at the Development Fund from March 2007 to June 2013, focusing on climate adaptation and policy within the UNFCCC process, along with program coordination in Ethiopia and Eritrea. Educational qualifications include a Master's in Multidisciplinary Study of Natural Resource Management from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (UMB) and a Bachelor's in Political Science, with additional ongoing PhD coursework in Climate Change and Societal Transformation at the University of Oslo.
