Elena Márquez Fernández

Elena M. is an accomplished UI and Web Programmer with extensive experience in front-end engineering, particularly with React, React Native, and Typescript. At The Game Band, from August 2020 to June 2023, Elena led the development of the Blaseball live service game, emphasizing collaboration with designers to enhance UI and animations, while also ensuring accessibility standards were met. Prior to this, Elena interned at Wizards of the Coast, where a prototype Alexa Skill was created using Node.js. Previous roles included teaching assistant positions at Girls Who Code and the Greenlake School-Age Care Program, where coding and general supervision of children were primary responsibilities, as well as an IT assistant role at Holy Names Academy. Elena earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Loyola University Chicago.
