Gordon is the manager of Holmesglen’s Student Wellbeing department and was elected by the Institute’s staff to the position of Director commencing in July 2022. He has worked at Holmesglen since 2008 and is a registered psychologist. Gordon’s current role sees him overseeing the learner welfare and engagement services including the careers, financial and personal counselling, disability liaison and Indigenous support services, alongside the learner voice, success and partnership programs. Prior to his appointment at Holmesglen, Gordon worked as a practicing psychologist in private practice, employee assistance and rehabilitation services and has managed clinical services in corrections settings.
Gordon holds a Bachelor of Arts and Graduate Diploma in Applied Psychology from Monash University. He is a member of the human research ethics committee at Holmesglen and the Department of Justice and Regulation, is an honorary clinical associate with the Australian Catholic University, and a member of the Australian Psychological Society. Gordon is also the designated child safety officer at Holmesglen.
