Kelsey Retting

Kelsey Retting, PhD, is a seasoned professional in the life sciences and biotechnology sectors, currently seeking opportunities as a Biology Director, Manager, or Leader in pharma discovery. As Chair of Membership for the Southern California Chapter of Women In Bio, Kelsey focuses on strategies for membership growth and empowerment of women in STEM. Kelsey's experience includes serving as Director of In Vitro Pharmacology at Crinetics Pharmaceuticals, where oversight of a compound screening platform was integral to advancing metabolic and endocrine disease programs. Prior roles include leadership positions at Ligand Pharmaceuticals and Organovo Holdings, Inc., where Kelsey contributed to biologics development and innovative tissue engineering projects, respectively. Kelsey began a career in research at UCLA and Amgen and holds a PhD in Biological Chemistry as well as a B.S. in Microbiology Immunology and Molecular Genetics from UCLA.
