Ms. Harrell was appointed to the Board in on January 27, 2022. Ms. Harrell brings to the Board extensive experience in marketing and sales, communications, public affairs, corporate citizenship, partner engagement, fund development, and corporate social responsibility (“CSR”). As Senior Director for USA AI, Sustainability & Market Development Strategy with Microsoft Corporation, Ms. Harrell partnered to develop initiatives addressing local, regional, and national scenarios in the environmental, social, and governance arenas. During her tenure with Microsoft from 2001 until her retirement in October 2021, Ms. Harrell held various senior positions with oversight of initiatives related to corporate and citizenship mission(s), sales, marketing, and channel development programs, leveraging top executives in interfacing with customers, partners, and external third-parties across global image, marketing, and customer engagement forums, and driving strategy development and execution for three functional areas within the global Sales, Marketing, and Services Group (SMSG).
Prior to joining Microsoft in 2001, Ms. Harrell also held various senior positions with InfoSpace, United Way of King County, US West Communications, and AT&T, Inc. In addition to her executive career, Ms. Harrell holds several board and advisory roles. She has completed various marketing and management programs at Columbia University, Stanford, and Harvard Business School. Her Bachelor of Arts in Communications-Advertising and MBA in Marketing are from the University of Washington. In addition to several recognitions and awards, In May 2017, Ms. Harrell was co-recipient of the University of Washington Charles E. Odegaard Award for Outstanding Community Service and Diversity on behalf of the citizens of the state of Washington
