Walentina Gonzalez is an experienced sustainability professional currently serving as an HB8 Participant in the Homeward Bound Projects initiative, aimed at empowering women in STEMM for global sustainability leadership. With a longstanding role as the Sustainability Lead at ACCIONA Australia since June 2013, Walentina has successfully driven sustainability initiatives in the Brisbane Metro Project, ensuring compliance with sustainability objectives and legal requirements. Previous roles include Environment & Sustainability Advisor and IMS Coordinator, where Walentina developed and implemented environmental strategies, conducted training, and established reporting platforms for sustainability metrics. Walentina holds multiple qualifications, including a Bachelor of Environmental and Sanitary Engineering, and certifications in leadership, project management, and integrated management systems.
