Christopher Lai

Christopher Lai is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in international trade and economic relations. Currently serving as Section Head of IP and Technology at the Hong Kong Trade Development Council since July 2006, Christopher leads a team to promote Hong Kong as a global technology and IP hub while managing high-level conferences and business initiatives. Previous roles at HKTDC include Director for Korea and various managerial positions focused on service promotion and international relations, where strategic planning and market analysis were central to enhancing economic ties. With a strong educational background including a Fintech programme at Oxford and expertise in sustainable innovation, Christopher has a proven track record in fostering partnerships and facilitating cross-border connections. Prior experience at CTI Logistics Limited involved account management and strategic planning in customer service and operations.
