Liza van Kapel

Liza van Kapel is an experienced advisor and water management professional with a strong background in sustainable practices and community engagement. Currently serving as an Advisor in Water and Spatial Planning at Hoogheemraadschap De Stichtse Rijnlanden since October 2020, Liza provides guidance to municipalities and developers on integrating sustainable water perspectives into their projects. Previously, Liza completed a two-year traineeship at Nationaal Watertraineeship, focusing on personal development and broadening knowledge within the water sector, while also gaining practical experience in soil legislation and research at AbelTalent and Tauw Nederland. Liza holds a Master of Science in Earth and Environment and a Bachelor of Science in Soil, Water, Atmosphere from Wageningen University & Research, as well as additional qualifications from Leiden University and Western Norway University of Applied Sciences.
