Julie Cays

Julie Cays brings extensive experience in investment management and governance, currently serving as a Board Member at HOOPP since July 2023 and as a volunteer at Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital since April 2022. Cays has been a member of the Pension Investment Committee at the University of Waterloo since May 2020 and previously chaired the Investment Advisory Committee at the McConnell Family Foundation from May 2015 to September 2022. Cays held the position of Chief Investment Officer at CAAT Pension Plan from July 2006 to May 2021 and served as Vice President, External Managers at HOOPP from 2001 to 2006. Earlier career experience includes the role of Director, Capital Management at CIBC from October 1985 to June 2001. Cays earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Waterloo between 1977 and 1982 and attended Etobicoke Collegiate Institute from 1972 to 1977.
