Richard King

Richard King is a Senior Engineer at HORIBA MIRA since May 2023, bringing extensive experience in engineering and academia. Previously, Richard served as a Multibody Dynamics Specialist at Bentley Motors Ltd from August 2011 to May 2023, and as a Lead Consultant at Altran UK from September 2007 to August 2011, working on diverse projects for notable clients including Ford, BAE Systems, Airbus, the Lotus Renault F1 Team, and Jaguar Land Rover. Richard also held the position of Senior Lecturer in Motorsport Engineering at Coventry University from August 2005 to September 2007, focusing on Vehicle Dynamics, Vehicle Structures, Thermofluids, and Motorcycle Dynamics, while overseeing the CU Formula Student Team. Earlier in the career, Richard worked as a Research and Development Engineer at Renault F1 Team, contributing to 7-Poster Rig development and software for gearbox dynamometer data acquisition. Richard King holds a PhD in Vehicle Dynamics, an MSc in Automotive Engineering, and a BEng in Mechanical Engineering, all from the University of Leeds.
