Mario Sandoval

Mario Sandoval is an experienced education leader currently serving as the Executive Director at Houston ISD since June 2019. Previously, Mario held positions as Director of 1st Year Principals/APs and Turnaround Principal at Northline Elementary School. Prior to their role at Houston ISD, Mario worked as a Turnaround Principal at Raul Yzaguirre School for Success from August 2018 to July 2019, and had a decade-long tenure at Houston ISD from August 2008 to August 2018 as an Assistant Principal and Bilingual Teacher. Mario is pursuing a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Urban Education and Leadership at the University of Houston-Clear Lake, with an expected completion date in August 2024.
