Aline Umuhire Juru

Aline Umuhire Juru is a Postdoctoral Visiting Fellow at the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), focusing on the biophysical characterization of RNA-RNA and RNA-Protein complexes since October 2021. Prior to this role, Aline served as a Graduate Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at Duke University from August 2015 to September 2021, where responsibilities included developing tools for discovering small molecule ligands for RNA involved in human disease and leading undergraduate organic chemistry laboratory sections. Aline holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemistry from Duke University, obtained in 2021, and a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Hendrix College, completed in 2015.
