James Huw Smith

James Huw Smith is a seasoned professional in the shipping industry, currently serving as Partner and Head of LNG at Howe Robinson Partners since October 2021. With extensive expertise in LNG chartering and project development, James leads a team dedicated to both spot and period chartering as well as long-term LNG solutions. Previously, James held the position of Director LNG at Braemar ACM Shipbroking from March 2014 to October 2021, contributing to the firm's status as a leading Shipping Services Group. James's career also includes roles in tanker chartering at ICAP / Island Shipbrokers and in shipping operations at BP from 2002 to 2010. Educational background includes studies at Solent University and Warsash Maritime College.
