Melvin Hortman-Cooper, EIT, serves as a Technical Trainer/Tier 3 at HP since April 2023. Previously, Melvin held the position of Manufacturing Engineer at Ascentec Engineering, LLC from April 2022 to March 2023, focusing on designing tooling and fixtures for the aerospace and semiconductor industries, utilizing additive manufacturing and finite element analysis. Prior roles include Engineering Technology Instructor at Renton Technical College from August 2017 to July 2022, where project design and reverse engineering were key responsibilities, and Mechanical Designer at Integrated Marine Systems, Inc., where Melvin designed a plastic User Interface Display and an Electronic Control Unit. Early experience includes positions at H.F. Hauff Co. Inc. and Zacklift International, where product design and new product development were significant contributions. Melvin completed a Master of Science in Engineering Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology at Central Washington University.
