Penny Farinha

Penny Farinha is an accomplished HR professional with extensive experience in leading human resources functions across various organizations. As the HR Global Ambassador for the Toronto Chapter at Transform since January 2024, Penny has been instrumental in uniting senior leaders to advance HR thought leadership. Previously, as VP of Human Resources at ecobee from May 2016 to December 2024, Penny played a key role in expanding the workforce from 60 to 650 employees while establishing a comprehensive HR framework. Additional experience includes serving as an advisor to Mello, the Head of HR at VarageSale, and various HR roles at FreshBooks and The Laudi Group. Penny holds an Hons. degree in Political Science from Western University, a Human Resources Management certificate from Humber College, and completed an Executive Education program at Harvard Business School in June 2022.
