Ben Burtenshaw

Ben Burtenshaw is a Machine Learning Engineer currently working at Hugging Face and Argilla since June and February 2024, respectively, as well as an instructor at Uplimit focusing on Productizing Open Source LLMs. Previously, Ben held the position of Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Faktion.ai, where responsibilities included training and deploying a multimodal ML service and designing an MLOps platform. Additional experience includes a role as a Lecturer at the University of Groningen, an NLP Engineer at uman, an NLP Researcher at Research Foundation Flanders - FWO, and a Course Coordinator for a Python Programming Bootcamp at the University of Antwerp. Ben holds a PhD from the University of Antwerp, a Masters of Research from the University of Brighton, a Master's degree from ArtEZ University of the Arts, and a Bachelor's degree from Goldsmiths, University of London.
