Maurice Parent is an accomplished theatre professional and educator, currently serving as Co-Founder and Co-Producing Artistic Director of the Front Porch Arts Collective in Boston, a Black theatre company dedicated to advancing racial equity. In addition to this role, Maurice is a Professor of the Practice at Tufts University’s Department of Theatre, Dance and Performance Studies, following two years as an Adjunct Professor. Maurice also works as a Consulting Producer for The Huntington, Boston’s leading professional theatre. Previous positions include Visiting Artist at Boston University School of Theatre, actor roles at The Huntington Theatre Company and New Repertory Theatre, and teaching artist at Citi Performing Arts Center. Maurice holds an M.A. in Vocal Performance from NYU Steinhardt School and a B.S. in Business Administration from Carnegie Mellon University, alongside a certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from the Institute for Nonprofit Practice.
