Deon Poon

Deon Poon is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in software development and consulting. Currently serving as Engineer Lead I at Hytech Consulting Management Sdn Bhd since August 2020, Deon has progressed through roles including Engineer Lead II and Senior Software Engineer. Prior experience includes a software engineering position at Software International Corporation (M), where Deon contributed to the enhancement of Java software for a Hong Kong insurance company. Deon's background also encompasses technical consultancy at Aspert Innovations Sdn Bhd, focusing on research and development, as well as system and application design. Earlier roles at Finexus Sdn Bhd involved developing banking solutions and providing technical support for cheque systems in Malaysian banks. Deon holds a Bachelor's degree in Information System Engineering from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, completed in 2015.
