Shane Emery

Shane Emery is a Platform Software Engineer at ICANN since April 2020, specializing in systems automation and monitoring. Key responsibilities include developing scalable automation solutions using tools such as Splunk, Perl, Python, and Bash, as well as designing distributed configuration management tools with Docker, Jenkins, and Git. Prior to ICANN, Shane worked as a Consultant for SMCI, focusing on Linux shell scripting and EDI automation. Shane's experience also encompasses a role as Platform Engineer at Entertainment Partners, where emphasis was placed on Java-based applications within JBoss EAP environments, and an Infrastructure Consultant position at Logic Technology Inc, supporting extensive server environments for GE Energy and GE Aviation. Additionally, Shane began a career as a Help Desk Analyst at Pomeroy IT Services, providing technical support for Cincinnati Bell services. Shane holds a B.S. in Computer and Information Technology from Purdue University and a diploma from St. John's Jesuit High School.
