Sami al-Suwailem

Sami Al-Suwailem is a Senior Economist with extensive experience at the Islamic Development Bank, where Dr. Al-Suwailem has served since December 2004 and currently holds the position of Acting Director General at the Islamic Development Bank Institute in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Prior to this role, Sami Al-Suwailem worked as an R&D Manager at Al Rajhi Bank from 1995 to 2004. Dr. Al-Suwailem earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree from Washington University in St. Louis between 1990 and 1995.
