Galya Tonkovska

Galya Tonkovska is a seasoned professional in the fields of pharmacovigilance and regulatory affairs, currently serving as Senior Director of Pharmacovigilance at ICON plc since November 2021, after previously holding the position of Associate Director Pharmacovigilance at PPD from January 2013 to November 2021. Galya's extensive experience includes managing safety operations, overseeing staff, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards across various international markets while also contributing to the development of regulatory strategies and procedures. Prior roles included positions as Manager of Regulatory Affairs and Regulatory Coordination at Sopharma and as Head of the GMO Sector at the Ministry of Environment and Water, showcasing a strong background in project management and cross-sector collaboration. Galya holds a PhD in Molecular Genetics and an MSc in Molecular Biology, further complementing a robust professional foundation.
