Martin Schüepp

Martin Schüepp is an experienced humanitarian professional currently serving as the Director of Operations at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), a position held since 2007. Throughout this tenure, Martin has taken on various leadership roles, including Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia, Deputy Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia, Operations Coordinator for West Africa, and Head of Subdelegation. Prior to joining the ICRC, Martin worked at UNDP as Acting Head of Office and Rule of Law Officer, and at PRIO as a Researcher. Martin holds a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from The Fletcher School at Tufts University and a Master’s Degree in International Relations and Affairs from the Geneva Graduate Institute. Additionally, Martin participated in the Breakthrough Program for Senior Executives at IMD in 2024.
