James Brownson

James Brownson is an experienced fundraising professional with a strong background in grant management and development. Currently serving as the Director of Grants at Idaho Youth Ranch since June 2021, James previously held the position of Development Manager at the International Rescue Committee from July 2017 to June 2021, where responsibilities included fundraising, proposal development, and relationship management. Prior roles include Director of Annual Giving at both the University of Idaho and Boise State University, as well as Director of Development and Marketing for the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival. James began the career as Administrator of Annual Giving at University of Colorado Hospital. Academic qualifications include a Master of Public Administration from the University of Colorado Denver and a Bachelor of Science in Music from Stony Brook University.
