Buluma Bwire

Buluma Bwire, PhD, serves as a Criminal Justice Advisor at the International Development Law Organization (IDLO) since October 2021, providing expert advisory support across the criminal justice chain and managing project cycles. Previously, Buluma Bwire worked with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH from January 2011 to September 2021 in various capacities, including Technical Advisor on prosecution and adjudication related to corruption, and coordinated efforts in Kisumu and Vihiga counties. Additional experience includes legal advisory roles, project management on gender-based violence, and academic teaching as an Assistant Lecturer at Kenyatta University. Buluma Bwire holds a PhD in Comparative Constitutional Law and several advanced degrees in law from the University of Nairobi and other institutions.
