Lynn Robert Carter is a Professor of Practice at Arizona State University, where the focus is on Software Engineering in critical domains such as DevOps and Software Quality Assurance. Concurrently, Lynn serves as Vice Chair of the IEEE Computer Society Standards Activity Board and has held various leadership roles within IEEE, including Chair of the Software & Systems Engineering Standards Committee and work on the P2675 DevOps group. Lynn has a long-standing involvement with the International Federation for Information Processing, receiving the Silver Core Award in 1986. In addition to founding CarterRadley, a company dedicated to developing job-ready professionals, Lynn has held academic positions at institutions such as Aspen University, Touro College, and Carnegie Mellon University, where notable contributions in software engineering education were made. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Colorado Boulder and both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Portland State University.
