Puica Nitu

Puica Nitu is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as Global Managing Director at the Canadian Institute World Energy System Corporation since January 1994. With a background in power systems engineering, Nitu has held various influential roles, including Operations Expert at Manitoba Hydro International and Principal Consultant for First North, where contributions focused on the intersection of utilities and financial services. Nitu is actively involved in the IEEE Blockchain Standard and previously served on the Research Partnership Committee for the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada. An alumnus of the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management and the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, Nitu boasts a strong educational foundation complemented by substantial operational and strategic expertise across multiple international markets.
