Christoph Spennemann

Christoph Spennemann is an Intellectual Property Counselor at the Eidgenössisches Institut für Geistiges Eigentum since May 2021, with extensive experience in legal and policy advice related to intellectual property rights, particularly for developing countries. Prior to this, Christoph worked at UNCTAD from December 2002 to April 2021 as a Legal Officer and Officer-in-Charge, leading a team focused on capacity building in intellectual property. Christoph has also served as a Legal Expert in Intellectual Property and worked as an IP & development Consultant. Academic credentials include a Master of Laws (LLM) in EU and International Economic Law from the University of Lausanne and various degrees in German substantive and procedural law from institutions such as Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg im Breisgau and Universität Passau.
