Katharine Norris

Katharine Norris is a dedicated legal professional currently serving as a Staff Attorney in Shelter Services at the International Institute of New England since October 2024. Previously, Katharine held the position of Removal Defense Staff Attorney at Al Otro Lado from December 2021 to June 2024 and completed an Intern & Post-Bar Fellowship at the UC Immigrant Legal Services Center between January 2021 and November 2021. Additional experience includes a legal externship at UNITE HERE Local 11 and a legal internship at the Central American Resource Center - Los Angeles (CARECEN-LA). Katharine also contributed as a Program Assistant for Indigenous Rights Radio and Bazaars at Cultural Survival from May 2016 to August 2018. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Law (JD) with a specialization in Critical Race Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles - School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Smith College.
