Thompson Ogunsanmi

Thompson Ogunsanmi is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in agricultural development and value chain coordination. Currently serving as a Scaling Specialist at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) since May 2019, Thompson previously held the position of Country Coordinator/Team Leader for the 2SCALE Project at the International Fertilizer Development Center from August 2012 to April 2019, where responsibility included overseeing various commodity-specific value chains such as Soybean and Cassava in Nigeria. Prior experience includes working as a Value Chain Advisor for GIZ, where efforts focused on market linkages and credit access for commodity value chains, and as a Farmer-led Project Facilitator/Procurement at Cadbury Nigeria. Thompson's educational background features an MBA with a focus on Entrepreneurship, along with qualifications in agronomy and organic agriculture from reputable institutions.
